Mengkritik Anugerah Murahan (Cheap Grace): Perspektif Teologi Kontekstual Indonesia terhadap Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Artikel ini membahas kembali kritik Dietrich Bonhoeffer terhadap cheap grace atau anugerah murahan dalam hubungannya dengan kehidupan gereja di Indonesia. Bagi Bonhoeffer, anugerah tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pemuridan, pertobatan, dan ketaatan kepada Kristus. Persoalan ini penting dibaca dalam konteks Indonesia karena pemberitaan anugerah dalam gereja kadang lebih menekankan penghiburan rohani daripada pembentukan hidup yang nyata. Melalui studi pustaka dengan pendekatan teologi kontekstual, artikel ini menelaah konsep cheap grace dan costly grace dalam pemikiran Bonhoeffer, lalu mendialogkannya dengan budaya malu, posisi Kristen sebagai minoritas, dan karakter komunal masyarakat Indonesia. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa anugerah yang hanya dipahami sebagai pengampunan pribadi berisiko kehilangan dimensi etis dan sosialnya. Dalam konteks gereja Indonesia, anugerah perlu dipahami sebagai kasih karunia Allah yang mengampuni sekaligus membentuk pertobatan, rekonsiliasi sosial, tanggung jawab etis, dan pemuridan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, kritik Bonhoeffer menolong gereja-gereja di Indonesia untuk menolak pemberitaan anugerah yang hanya menenangkan, tetapi tidak membarui kehidupan jemaat.
